There are official USOA and two volumes of World Tournament rules (Volume 1, Volume 2).  Because of the size and shape of our pool, we play a somewhat modified game.  Check out USA Underwater Hockey for more info.

 

Basically, it's a non-contact sport similar to soccer or basketball.  No, there is no checking.  Fouls are kept to a minimum by good sportsmanship and fair play.  We like to play a competitive game so if things get unbalanced, we mix the teams up and continue playing.

 

The game starts with the puck in the center with a team with black sticks on one end of the pool and one with white sticks on the other.  3...2...1 - GO!  Get the puck in the goal...SCORE!
